Hamasen, once the most prosperous area in Kaohsiung. A smoky, dream-like world where people from different cultures and generations all live together. The train falls from the sky, arriving at an on-screen platform, just like a movie, and calls everyone together to begin a journey through time and space.

KUSUNDA – Speak to Awaken Ep.2

You are invited to learn and speak some words in the Kusunda language while carving your narrative experience and showing solidarity towards the community. Every two weeks a language falls asleep. The Kusunda language has been categorised by linguists as a language isolate, meaning it is unrelated to any other language family of the world. Currently there are only about 150 people in Nepal who are identified as Kusunda.

  • Film director, CG graphist, XR content creator. Founder of Poké Poké Creative Studio, Taiwan. LAI Kuan-Yuan graduated from Department of Radio, Television and Film of Shih-Hsin University in Taiwan and SUPINFOCOM in France. He’s committed to independent production and multi-media visual arts work. Most of his works focus on the relationship between environment, culture, life and people. The themes of Sci-fi utopia, locality and worldwide issues in folklore/event/environment have always been a rich resource for his artistic creation.
